Manuel Berenguel received the industrial engineering M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Seville, Spain. He is Professor of automatic control and systems engineering with the University of Almería, Spain. His research interests include control education and predictive and hierarchical control, with applications to solar energy systems, agriculture, and biotechnology. He has been Vice-Rector of ICT at University of Almería (2007-2012) and is the head of the research group “Automatic Control, Robotics and Mechatronics” from 2000 and Technical Chair of the Vegetables Trial in IoF2020 project.
