Matti Kurki


Matti Kurki studied in Lappeenranta University of Technology and graduated 1991 as M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. Later he made further studies in Mechanical Engineering and graduated in 2004 as a Licentiate of Technology. Matti Kurki made his Ph.D. thesis at 2014 in University of Jyväskylä. From the year of 2016 he has also worked as Adjunct Professor in the area of numerical continuum mechanics in University of Jyväskylä. Mr. Kurki worked more than 15 years in different companies both product and process development and in research and teaching tasks in universities before he entered in 2011 to JAMK University of Applied Sciences as a Senior Lecturer. At JAMK, his main lecturing areas have been strength of materials and pulp and paper making processes and process engineering. Matti Kurki have been as a Head of Department of Industrial Engineering from the year 2015.
